Die Definition des Flanschtyps hängt von den Befestigungslochkreisen der Spindel sowie des Spannfutters ab. Anbei die Definition der der unterschiedlichen Flanschtypen: Typ 1: Direktflansch (Einlegering) Diese Befestigung wird verwendet, wenn der Befestigungslochkreis der Spindel gleich groß ist wie der Befestigungslochkreis des Spannfutters. Der Flansch wird zusammen mit dem Spannfutter auf die Spindel montiert. Der Flansch ist auf dem Futter vormontiert. Typ 2: Reduzierflansch Diese Befestigung wird verwendet, wenn der Befestigungslochkreis der Spindel kleiner ist als der Befestigungslochkreis des Spannfutters.
